Hey everyone,

Today will be a bit different from our regularly scheduled programming.

I recently hit 1,000 subscribers on the Wealth Potion YouTube channel. So first and foremost:

Thank you. 

I truly could not have done it without each and every one of you. When I started Wealth Potion about 2 years ago, I had no idea where it would take me... and it hasn’t been easy! But it’s been extremely rewarding to build this community with you all.

So today, I’m sharing my learnings with you.

The Creator Economy is a topic we talk about frequently here at Wealth Potion, so I hope this is especially valuable to any current or aspiring content creators out there.

Here are my 3 biggest takeaways from the past year:

1. Compounding is Truly Magical 📈

The first 500 subscribers took me over a year. The second 500 took me only 4 months.

Just like building wealth, it's the first 1k / 10k / 100k / 1m that is the hardest.

If you aren't leveraging compounding in your life (e.g. your investments, startup equity, your personal brand, your relationships), you're doing it wrong.

Make small decisions that will compound in your favor in the long run.

2. We're in the Early Innings ⚾

Being a Creator is still an extremely underrated "career" path.

More and more young people I speak with are seeing it as a viable alternative to the traditional 9-to-5. And it's only getting easier to make a living as a Creator.

This is a tough pill to swallow for many reasons.

Many Gen Z and millennials I’ve spoken with feel that social media is getting saturated, that there are more content creators than ever before, or still see content creation as a non-serious endeavor.

I am confident that this is all going to change.

3. AI is NOT Coming 🤖

Hot take alert!

Especially considering I spent 10 years working in technology and AI startups 🙃 

I strongly believe that the Creator Economy is going to be much more resistant to AI disruption than most people think. People don't want to watch Sora 2 slop... they want to follow humans.

As more and more noise fills our social media feeds, people will seek out signal. They won’t turn to mainstream media, universities, or the “experts”… they will turn to their fellow humans.
